Growing up, Mike always had an interest in art and design. Through his high school years he was the kid that other students would come up to with requests for drawings and sketches. After graduating from high school with high honors, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he deployed twice to Iraq as a truck driver in convoy operations throughout the country. After leaving the service as a non-commissioned officer with an honorable discharge, he put his GI Bill® to use and enrolled in the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Combining his love of art and design with his interest in technology, he pursued a bachelor’s degree in graphic design. Upon completion of his degree, he graduated with honors and won best in show at his graduating class’ portfolio show.

Mike began working with VIQTORY shortly after graduation. He was hired as a Graphic Designer and gained years of experience working on a team to design hundreds of print and digital products for their audience, clients and internal stakeholders. His hard work, skills, experience and results led to his recognition as Employee of the Year and promotion to Art Director. In his new role, he led the art direction of several internationally distributed print publications, as well as managing all web content and social media accounts for their brands. He takes pride in having the ability to contribute his skills to brands that truly make a difference in the lives of others, all while doing what he loves.

Mike currently lives in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa. with his wife Mandy, their English Bulldog Smedley and their cats Harvey Loo and Leonidas. His hobbies include reading, traveling, going out to concerts and movies, running (six full marathons and counting) and adding to his ever-growing collection of records and comics.
